Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our early intervention team. This role is crucial for providing "quality" therapeutic services to children ages birth-5 years of age who may have intellectual disabilities and developmental delays. The ideal candidate will work directly with children and families in federally funded childcare centers throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, addressing their behavioral and social-emotional needs through collaborative, in-classroom support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide weekly, 60-minute therapy sessions within a child's classroom setting or the child’s natural environment
- Assess and address the behavioral and social-emotional needs of children ages birth-5 years old.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to support children with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays.
- Work collaboratively with childcare center teachers, administrators, and other special related services professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Partner with parents and caregivers to provide guidance and resources for continuing therapeutic strategies in the home and other natural environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions, progress, and collaboration efforts.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Strong understanding of crisis management and crisis intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts such as patient assessment, direct support, and social work principles.

Living Through My Dreams, LLC is a specialized home care and early intervention agency dedicated to providing holistic, interdisciplinary support to children (ages 3-12) and families navigating developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health challenges in North Carolina. We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or a Licensed Clincial Social Worker to join our team as a 1099 contractor.
This role requires a dedicated therapist with expertise in trauma-informed care to integrate mental health support directly into the existing early intervention framework.
What You'll Do (Essential Functions)
The provider will develop and provide quality, trauma-informed treatment options for children and families. Your work will specifically integrate with our Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy (ST), Physical Therapy (PT), and Community Behavioral Rehabilitative Services (CBRS) teams.
- Clinical Intervention: Develop and provide tailored treatment options, including individual/play therapy, group therapy, and family counseling, with a focus on children aged 3-12.
- Behavioral Health Support: Design and implement behavior management strategies, workshops, and social skills groups that address emotional regulation and behavioral challenges.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Serve as a core member of the interdisciplinary team. Collaborate directly with rehabilitation therapists (OT/ST/PT) and Educational Specialists to ensure a cohesive and holistic treatment approach aligned with the client’s IFSP or IEP.
- Trauma Specialization: Utilize training and experience to provide specialized support for clients suffering from PTSD, childhood trauma, complex trauma, and bereavement.
- Consultation & Advocacy: Provide consultative services to team members and advocate for clients within the early intervention system and broader community.
- Documentation: Accurately enter data into the patient’s chart to ensure timely, comprehensive, and compliance-driven records.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)Required Clinical Credentials
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or an equivalent field of study.
- Active, Unrestricted North Carolina Licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).
- Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) or equivalent Associate-level licensure.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Prior counseling experience in the treatment of behavioral mental health, including depression and mood disorders.
