Quality Inspector – Precision Manufacturing (East Aurora, NY)

Location: East Aurora, NY 14052

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Overtime: Must be available and flexible

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

What you’ll do

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring every part meets strict quality and engineering standards. You will work closely with machinists and production teams to support high-precision manufacturing from start to finish.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Inspect machined parts at various stages of production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Perform first piece and first article inspections
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pin gauges, gauge blocks, comparators, and vision systems
  • Conduct visual inspections for surface finish, burrs, and imperfections (including microscope use)
  • Perform random audits and in-process inspections on the shop floor
  • Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances
  • Collaborate with machinists and operators to ensure quality standards are met
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures
  • Use basic computer systems for data entry and reporting

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • CMM/PC-DMIS experience is a strong plus
  • Background in CNC machining or multi-axis machining is highly valued
