NOW HIRING: Bakery Prep & Production Assistant

Smallcakes Cupcakery Boise is looking for a dependable, energetic team member who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in helping a bakery run smoothly behind the scenes.

This position plays an important role in supporting our bakers and decorators by preparing frostings, fillings, ingredients, workstations, and supplies needed for daily production. The right person enjoys a variety of tasks, notices what needs to be done, and takes initiative to keep things moving throughout the day.

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday- Flexible Hours
• Prefer afternoon to evening working hours
• Approximately 20–25 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Prepare frostings, fillings, and other bakery ingredients
• Fill decorating bags and assist with daily production setup
• Prepare ingredients for baking and decorating
• Package and label products
• Restock supplies and ingredients throughout the bakery
• Wash dishes and maintain clean workstations
• Organize inventory, coolers, and storage areas
• Assist bakers and decorators with production tasks
• Help prepare the bakery for daily operations
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Complete general cleaning and organizational tasks
• Pitch in wherever needed to help the team succeed

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Interest in baking, decorating, or learning bakery operations is a plus
• Bakery, kitchen, food service, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

While this position focuses primarily on bakery preparation and production support, team members who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and strong performance may have opportunities to learn additional bakery skills, including baking, decorating, customer service, and other aspects of bakery operations.
