Second Shift Line/Prep Cook

One Love Karibbean Kitchen – Akron, OH

One Love Karibbean Kitchen is looking for a dependable Second Shift Line Cook to join our team. We serve authentic Caribbean food in a fast-paced kitchen and need someone who can follow directions, stay organized, and keep food quality consistent during dinner service.

This position focuses on prep work, cooking key menu items, stocking the steam table, and completing nightly kitchen cleaning.

This position may work at either of our locations on Copley Rd or Kenmore Blvd.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare items such as cabbage, wings, and jerk chicken
• Keep the steam table stocked and ready during service
• Assist with prep work for dinner service and the next day
• Follow recipes and instructions from kitchen leadership
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Complete nightly cleaning duties before closing

Requirements

• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Reliable transportation is required
• Ability to follow directions and recipes exactly
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Kitchen experience preferred but not required for the right person

Schedule

Second shift typically runs

3:00 PM – 9:30/9:45PM

Weekend availability is required.

Pay

$13 – $15 per hour depending on experience
