Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Operations Specialist to join our banking operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and servicing consumer and commercial loan transactions while ensuring the accuracy of loan information within the core loan system. You will work closely with Relationship Managers, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams to support efficient loan operations and deliver exceptional service.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in loan servicing, loan operations, banking operations, or financial services who thrive in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process consumer and commercial loan transactions, including new loans, renewals, modifications, extensions, payments, advances, and maintenance.
  • Review executed loan documents and ensure all loan information is accurately entered and maintained within the core loan servicing system.
  • Perform quality reviews to verify loan data matches legal documentation and internal requirements.
  • Research and resolve loan account inquiries from customers and internal business partners.
  • Maintain accurate loan records and perform account maintenance activities.
  • Support operational reporting and assist with the preparation of loan-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
  • Assist with loan statement processing, mailing activities, and other operational support functions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and internal procedures.
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and service level expectations while managing multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in Loan Servicing, Loan Operations, Loan Processing, Banking Operations, or Financial Services preferred.
  • Experience reviewing loan documentation and processing loan transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
