We are hiring a construction site Material Handler to join our team at ColonialWebb. Tag all material with appropriate Purchase Order, receiver, and/or tag numbersPlace material in proper area according to storage and handling lists; initiate storage change and document new location when necessaryMaintain site material organization and cleanliness, etc. – report problems to supervisorIssue material as directed, locate material, assist in material removal, and insure documentation is complete and accurateLocate and prepare material for outbound shipment. coordinate loadingPurchase for stock only the minimum preapproved items that are a daily requirementKeep up to date inventory of tools—number, condition, location—and schedule relocation of tools as jobs dictateYou should have:Working knowledge of material control procedures, techniques, systems, etc.Previous forklift operator experienceExcellent attention to detailExcellent organization skillsAbility to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely mannerAbility to work without direct supervisionAbility to deal diplomatically and effectively with vendors, suppliers, coworkers, and customersAbility to wear personal protection equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, fall protection, safety shoes, and others as requiredEOE M/W/Disability/VetsVeterans and those with previous military experience are encouraged to apply.
