Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Operate and maintain ventilators and life-support equipment.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Certification:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
