ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Energy Efficiency Services of Wisconsin is a growing organization specializing in cold-climate heat pump and HVAC retrofits for whole-building electrification projects — including ducted and ductless heat pump systems, inverter-driven equipment, and the HVAC side of multifamily electrification. We deliver these projects for institutional property owners, nonprofits, and large property owner groups across multiple states, with current openings in Madison and Milwaukee. We are expanding throughout the Midwest and are committed to quality installations, modern systems, and advancing clean energy goals across the region. POSITION SUMMARY

This is a leadership role running the HVAC side of our business. Reporting to the Director of Field Services, you are our heat pump and HVAC retrofit expert — the person who ensures we deliver quality projects completed by well-trained crews. You direct the day-to-day operation: reviewing project scopes of work, directing and overseeing crews, working with customers, and solving problems as they come up. You are the authority the team leans on for technical decisions and the standard our projects are held to. You also own the operational side of the HVAC business — hiring and training installers, overseeing work orders and schedules, and coordinating inventory, vehicles, tools, equipment, and resource allocation across projects in Madison and Milwaukee. You are not the design engineer and you are not self-performing installs — you set the standard, build the team, and keep the whole operation running.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review project scopes of work and confirm the right retrofit approach Direct and oversee HVAC crews across day-to-day project work Serve as the technical expert and final authority on retrofit decisions Work with customers and resolve issues as they come up Hire, train, and develop installers and field team leads Oversee work orders, schedules, and project quality standards Coordinate inventory, vehicles, tools, equipment, and resource allocation

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years in an HVAC or field operations leadership position Experience leading, training, and managing field teams Recognized expertise in heat pump and HVAC retrofit projects Experience overseeing multifamily project work Strong knowledge of cold-climate heat pumps and inverter technology Spanish–English bilingual strongly preferred Valid driver's license and clean driving record Must pass a criminal background check
