About Us

At Budget Blinds, we are expanding our commercial division and seeking a driven, entrepreneurial professional to lead the growth and delivery of our commercial window treatment business throughout the Portland metro area.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, winning business, managing projects, and owning financial performance from start to finish. You'll play a key leadership role in shaping and growing our commercial presence in the market.

Position Summary

The Commercial Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of our commercial division, including:

  • Commercial Sales
  • Business Development
  • Project Management
  • Billing & Financial Management

You will serve as the primary point of accountability for the entire commercial pipeline—from the first client conversation through project completion and final payment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants to directly impact business growth and profitability.

What You'll Do

Commercial Sales

  • Identify, pursue, and close commercial window treatment opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site consultations, measurements, and take-offs.
  • Prepare quotes, estimates, and bid packages.
  • Review project scopes with general contractors and negotiate contracts.
  • Present proposals and exceed commercial sales targets.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline within the CRM.

Business Development (Develop relationships with):

  • General Contractors
  • Architects
  • Property Managers
  • Building Owners
  • Facilities Teams
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking functions.
  • Create strategic partnerships and referral channels.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to achieve commercial revenue goals.

Commercial Project Management

  • Manage projects from estimating and design through installation and closeout.
  • Create submittal packages, schedules, and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and installation teams.
  • Manage change orders, project costs, and reporting.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Financial Management

  • Own invoicing and progress billing, including AIA pay applications when applicable.
  • Manage project profitability and P&L performance.
  • Track receivables and collections.
  • Reconcile project costs against estimates.
  • Coordinate with accounting and administration teams.

Qualifications Required

  • Proven success in commercial sales, construction sales, or B2B sales.
  • Experience bidding, winning, and managing commercial projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with financial and cost management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Experience in window treatments, construction, or building products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • Core Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $60,618.09 - $73,002.43 per year
