Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Acrylic Bonding Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, bonding, and finishing acrylic components with precision and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in machine operation, and experience with plastics fabrication processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality product assembly while working within a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience and/or training in acrylic bonding assembly is required.
- Fully trained and certified on assembly of Nozzle bonding
- Receives close supervision related to specific work activities, assignments, methods, etc; usually under frequent surveillance over job activities; instructions are detailed and assignments are typically short-term and repetitive.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, blue prints and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use pneumatic and electronically powered tools is required.
- Ability to perform simple calculations (ie-add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interface effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Job Description:
- Assembles using fixtures and adhesives the various layers of acrylic with the use of a liquid bonding agent.
- Inspects parts to ensure quality standards are maintained after the bonding process.
- Maintains a clean and organized work space by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Works in an assembly line or independently at an established pace, sustaining the pace over the full 8-hour workday.
- Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures and wears personnel protective equipment relevant to the assigned work area.
- Cross trains in all Bonding department roles including Bargun handle testing equipment.
- Deliver a minimum first pass yield of 95%, with a structured progression toward achieving and maintaining 98%.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
