As an  Manufacturing Engineer , you will be at the heart of our electronics manufacturing process for the new Aurora innovation, ensuring precision and quality in the production of components for autonomous driving systems. You’ll work with cutting-edge technology, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with a team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

We are seeking a talented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in New Braunfels, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing automation technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency in our production facilities.

Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality

Design and oversee the implementation of automation systems and equipment to improve manufacturing operations

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues and defects

Create and maintain process documentation, including setup matrices, parameter cards, and work instructions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives

Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity

Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes, equipment, and technologies

Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes

Participate in equipment selection, installation, and qualification processes

Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing equipment and process issues

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $114,000 a year depending on experience. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

Exposure to a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of automation equipment, including scanners, vision systems, and automated placement equipment

Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks

Ability to read schematics and/or engineering drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis techniques

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing-related software applications

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

Experience in process documentation and creating standard work instructions

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail

Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment

Able to work outside of traditional work hours.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Ability to work on a manufacturing shopfloor environment

Must wear company-provided ESD safety-toed shoes, smock, and other PPE in required areas

Sitting or standing for 8+ hours, reaching, and using hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment

Must be able to push, pull, reach, twist, turn, stoop for duration of 8+ hour shifts

Ability to lift or carry objects up to 40 lbs. unassisted

Ability to climb ladders

Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive foot and hand action

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation technologies, PLC programming and continuous improvement methodologies

Demonstrated ability in electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting

Experience with a wide range of hand tools and mechanical assembly.
