SRC, Inc.  is currently seeking a Security Management Specialist for the 645th Aeronautical Systems Group (AESG) at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake, California. Responsible for supporting a variety of developmental and operational test programs by executing security management activities, database administration, and information management functions. Duties include the documentation, tracking, oversight, and compliance management of Big Safari programs, as well as the administration of Top Secret (TS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs.

Provides comprehensive security support across the Big Safari portfolio, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, and program-specific security policies, procedures, and requirements. Coordinates with program personnel, government agencies, and security stakeholders to safeguard classified information, maintain accreditation requirements, and support mission-critical test and evaluation activities.

What You'll Do

Personnel Security & Access Management

Process SCI access requests for government personnel, contractors, and subcontractors, including all prerequisite eligibility verification activities

Maintain accurate records of personnel clearances, SCI billets and associated databases

Security Program Management

Perform information security functions including access control, access tracking, security reporting, and compliance monitoring

Maintain Monitor and verify security databases detailing clearance status, accesses, and program affiliations of cleared personnel

Monitor, document, and process foreign travel notifications, approvals, briefings, and mitigation requirements

Support classification management and security administration activities for programs

Assist with the preparation, coordination, and management of DD Form 254, DoD Contract

Security Compliance & Assessments

Prepare for and participate in security self-inspections, staff assistance visits, inspections, and program reviews

Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), and security operating instructions

Support classified holdings accountability, inventories, and records management requirements

Ensure compliance with applicable DoW and Air Force security regulations

SCIF Operations

Support Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, openings, closures, inspections, and day-to-day security requirements

Participate in after-hours alarm response and security incident support as required.

Assist with facility security procedures necessary to maintain mission readiness and compliance.

What You'll Bring

High school diploma and 6+ years of experience in security related disciplines OR associate’s degree and 4+ years of experience OR bachelor’s degree and 2 + years of experience

An active TS/SCI clearance is required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in security disciplines including personnel, industrial, physical, information, acquisition, or program security. Desire 5 years’ experience supporting classified programs

Eligibility to hold Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Understanding of personnel security clearance processing, access management, and visitor control procedures

Experience utilizing security databases and systems such as Scattered Castles, JPAS, DISS, NCAISS, and other SCI-related databases

Experience conducting personnel security reviews, eligibility determinations, and security interviews

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
