Overview
We are a well established local company seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical construction projects from inception to completion. The position pays between $80,000 to $110,000 per year. We have three year projects in Metairie, New Orleans, Slidell and Covington. This pivotal role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop detailed project schedules and coordinate all phases of construction management.
- Oversee project coordination among subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to verify accuracy and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Prepare construction estimates using construction estimating tools; manage contracts and procurement processes.
- Monitor progress on-site through construction site experience; conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Manage project costs through HeavyBid or similar estimating software; control expenditures to meet financial objectives.
- Ensure timely completion of projects by implementing effective project scheduling and time management strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, including daily reports, safety documentation, and technical updates.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders through clear communication and professional conduct.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering combined with extensive construction site experience in electrical projects.
- Strong background in construction management principles with a focus on electrical systems design and implementation.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations, system schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
