Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the visual system, eye diseases, and injuries
- Confidently prescribe glasses and contacts as needed
- Review prescriptions and identify special and complex needs
- Perform work accurately despite time pressure and patient volume
- Provide pre- and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
- Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases and refer as appropriate
- Counsel patients on eye health and contact lens care
- Manage to see 3 patients per hour

- Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.)
- Valid SC license
