Work Environment

Our on-site facility in Seattle boasts modern treatment equipment and dedicated rehabilitation space designed to foster an engaging and therapeutic environment. As an LPTA, you will work collaboratively alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans including exercises and therapeutic modalities aimed at enhancing patient mobility and physical functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, adjusting techniques as necessary to optimize performance while ensuring patient safety.
  • Educate patients on appropriate body mechanics, effective exercise methods, and home exercise regimens to enhance their recovery process.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and various heat/cold therapies under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, meticulously tracking improvements in range of motion, strength capabilities, and overall functional outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment spaces and equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are readily available for effective therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, using shared insights to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Offer emotional support and motivation to patients, fostering a positive therapeutic environment that encourages progress.
  • Adhere to professional standards and ethical practices, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
