Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for the 20262027 school year across multiple campuses in the Sugar Land and Houston areas. Serve a diverse student population and make a meaningful impact while working in vibrant learning communities.
This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for fostering communication skills in school settings. Multiple openings are available in elementary, middle, and high schools, with assignments running from July 30, 2026, through May 28, 2027. All candidates must be able to work onsite.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP or SLPA license (license screenshot required with application)
- School-based SLP/SLPA experience (required)
- SLPAs must possess an active license; supervision hours for licensure are not provided
- Not accepting SLP-CF candidates at this time
- Reliable transportation to assigned school locations
- Ability to complete required HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student IEPs and progress
- Maintain accurate therapy records, progress reports, and documentation
- Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse student needs
