Description: OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Overview
- Utilize various documents and computer systems in performance of duties under the technical direction of higher‑level personnel.
- Assist higher‑level personnel in support of the Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP), life‑cycle management of hazardous and shelf‑life material.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, repackaging, labeling, inventory, and monitoring of the shelf life of hazardous materials.
- Track container returns, dispense hazardous material from larger containers into smaller unit sizes, process expired material and dispose of hazardous waste.
- Acquire a working knowledge of missile material handling functions through classroom and on‑the‑job training; work with progressively less guidance.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently perform work described in the Missile Material Handler Senior classification.
- Perform related duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to use equipment such as portable power saws, drills, common carpenter hand tools, strapping and banding equipment, counting and weighing scales, and other tools used in packaging, crating, and inventory functions.
- Perform inventory management of stocked materials and equipment.
- Perform calculations pertaining to volume, distance, weight and units of quantity.
- Read, research necessary information in applicable federal manuals and company documents.
- Obtain and maintain licenses, certifications and qualifications pertinent to warehouse operations, including but not limited to use of bar code scanners, handling explosives, operating bridge cranes, and handling and processing hazardous materials and waste. Obtain and maintain respirator qualifications as necessary.
- Access Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N‑ERP).
- Possess a valid State driver’s license.
- Skilled in use of computers and ability to learn new computer applications.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance to support this government contract. An interim Secret clearance is required prior to start.

This position requires a government security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
