GRADE
17\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position offers a salary range of $33.92 - $36.59/hour, with potential for advancement up to $52.88 based on qualifications, equity, and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications, experience, and available budget, and typically do not exceed $36.59/year.\r\n\r\n\r\n

POSITION DUTIES
\r\n\r\nThis Fund Financial Analyst Trainee position is a part of the multi-billion-dollar financing operations, closely interacting with internal and external professionals to achieve the most optimal and cost-effective funding mechanism for affordable housing, community development, business lending, energy efficiency and neighborhood revitalization projects. The Position accounts for and reconciles general, special, reimbursable and or federal funds within many units in the Department and will acquire an understanding of multiple technical areas including grant accounting and management, compliance with State and Federal regulations capital markets, mortgage products and execution methodologies, asset management.This position serves as a Fund Accountant within the Division of Finance and Administration.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis Fund Financial Analyst Trainee position performs financial accounting functions and financial analysis within DFA. This position will independently be responsible for managing the sub-ledger and detailed accounting, reconciliation and reporting of grants and loans financed with state, federal, special and reimbursable funds. This position manages accurate and timely draws and disbursements of assets, coordination with program and governmental agencies, reconciliations, review of MOUs, BB4s, Pos and other legal and regularity documents and reporting.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDHCD offers health benefits, paid time off, flexible work schedule, training, advancement and career path opportunities, casual business dress Friday and competitive salary.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university. \r\nExperience: None. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or documented eligibility to sit for the CPA Examination may be substituted for the educational requirement. \r\n2. Candidates may substitute one year of professional financial analysis experience, such as managing financial asset and debt portfolios, examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting, budget, grant or real estate investment portfolio records and reports by applying generally accepted accounting principles for 30 credits on a year-for-year basis for the required education. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Accounting Officer classification or Financial Management specialty codes in the accounting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education. \r\n
