Pacific Manufacturing Ohio is a Tier-1 Automotive parts supplier based in Fairfield, Ohio. As a subsidiary of Pacific Industrial in Ogaki City, Japan, we specialize in metal stamping components, plastic extrusion, and TMPS for auto manufacturers in the United States and Canada.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform necessary payroll functions needed to help complete bi-weekly payrolls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Set up temporary employees in Time on Demand.
- Set up new hourly employees in Paycor.
- Assign and maintain schedules for all hourly employees.
- Audit department timesheets daily.
- Process time sheet corrections in the time clock database.
- Review Daily Attendance Sheets for potential pay-related issues.
- Verify approved vacation days in the system are applied to the correct date and pay period.
- Assist all departments with payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain payroll files and box files for storage.
- Assist with weekly orientation.
- Perform related duties as required.
- The goal is to process bi-weekly hourly payroll.
QualificatIons
- High school diploma.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous Payroll experience.
- Data entry and good record-keeping techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft business applications (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information received.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
employee must have the ability to:
- See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids.
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone.
- Speak so that others may understand at normal levels and on the telephone
- Enter data into a computer terminal/typewriter, operate standard office equipment and use a telephone.
- Lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Work indoors, in a standard office environment.
- Safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and a hat are always required on the plant floor.
- Exposed to heat at times during the summer months on the plant floor.
- Upper noise levels require hearing protection on the plant floor.
