About the role
We are a Florida-registered business seeking a highly experienced Certified Public Accountant to act as our signing CPA and senior financial advisor. This is a contract engagement intended for an established practitioner who operates through their own registered firm or company.
You will be the licensed professional who reviews, certifies, and signs off on our financial documents, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with applicable US and Florida requirements. We value depth of experience and want a trusted long-term advisor rather than a high-volume provider.
What you will do
Review, prepare, and sign off on financial statements, tax filings, and other documents that require a licensed CPA's certification
Act as the certifying CPA for compilations, reviews, audits, federal and state tax returns, lender or regulatory filings.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IRS rules, and Florida state requirements
Advise on tax planning, entity structure, and financial controls
Liaise with banks and regulators where a CPA sign-off or representation is required
What we require
An active, unrestricted Florida CPA license in good standing with the Florida Board of Accountancy
20 or more years of professional accounting experience
Based in Florida
Operates through their own registered company or CPA firm, since we are engaging a contractor rather than hiring an employee
A proven track record of signing and certifying financial documents
Industrials Industry experience strongly preferred
