Experienced CNC Pipe Cutting & Plasma Table Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC pipe cutting equipment and CNC plasma cutting tables.
• Load, align, and secure pipe and plate materials for cutting.
• Read blueprints, fabrication drawings, cut lists, and work orders.
• Verify dimensions and inspect finished parts to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Monitor machine operation and make minor program or offset adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and daily inspections.
• Organize cut materials and prepare them for the next stage of production.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards.
• Work closely with other machine operators and the Production Supervisor to meet production schedules and maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC pipe cutting machines, CNC plasma tables, or similar automated cutting equipment.
• Experience cutting carbon steel pipe and plate.
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, squares, and angle gauges.
• Basic computer skills for operating CNC equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience

• Industrial pipe fabrication
• Structural steel fabrication
• Process piping or pressure piping
• CNC plasma or oxy-fuel cutting equipment
• Material handling using overhead cranes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
