We are based in Georgia and we provide services in the areas of Gwinnett, Walton, Hall, Barrow, Jackson, Rockdale, Dekalb, Forsyth, Newton, and Fulton.

Job Summary:

Our Agency is dedicated to hiring individuals we can trust with our own families. Our Caregivers deliver various personal care and services in accordance with an established plan of care and provides for the personal needs and comfort of patients in their homes.

Travel Required:

Within 50 mile radius

Multiple Locations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certified Nurse Aide Certification required through successful completion of an approved program
  • 2-years minimum experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home; or one-year full-time experience within the last three years in direct client care in a home care agency setting
  • Must maintain an active working cellphone at all times
  • Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
  • Demonstrated ability in English to read, write and carry out directions from care plan
  • Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with the job demands
  • Must have professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attend eight (8) hours of personal care-oriented services per year
  • Participate in professional meetings when directed
  • Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
  • Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered a position with the agency
  • Must have a valid proof a negative TB test within the year, or be willing to get tested
  • Must have CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider

Additional Requirements:

  • Assess and communicate with ill clients, co-workers and general public
  • Must have a passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
  • Must be neat in appearance wearing approved attire and practice good personal hygiene
  • Must have a reliable means of transport

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with medication reminders
  • Assist clients with safe mobility transfers and safe ambulation
  • Companionship
  • Respite care for the families
  • Prepare simple meals within dietary guidelines of care plan
  • Observe the client’s general physical, emotional and mental condition and report all changes to RN immediately
  • Complete client’s shopping and/or accompany to appointments, if included in care plan
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual findings
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Other duties as assigned within scope of practice

Physical Demands:

  • Sufficient visual and hearing ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
  • Perform tasks involving activity which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing
  • Deal effectively with stressful situations
  • Work assigned hours per week
  • Bend and stand an average of six (6) hours per day
  • Lift up to 50+ pounds
  • Drive up to 50+ miles radius

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day Shift
  • Night Shift
  • Holidays (PRN based on clients' needs)
