The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking a Semester Lecturer to provide teaching assistance in the Respiratory Therapy Division during Autumn and Spring semester. This person will serve as lead instructor for courses; communicate regularly with SHRS faculty and instructors to ensure a coordinated curriculum, satisfactory student progress; provide documentation as required for SHRS faculty to manage and evaluate the curriculum.

Performance Objectives
- Present course material and collaborate with the primary instructor.
- Be present in the lab to assist students with course assignments.
- Meet regularly with the faculty, Program Director, Division Director, students if needed, and other parties as required.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Represent the program at recruitment events.
- Conduct online sessions with students, if needed, via CarmenZoom.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: BS in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Program
Desired: experience teaching in class or lab

Division of Respiratory Therapy
The Respiratory Therapy program teaches students aspects of Respiratory Care preparing them to serve as Registered Respiratory Therapists. Respiratory therapists are licensed healthcare professionals who provide testing, treatment and care to patients who have difficulty breathing. Our graduates are trained to work with the full spectrum of patients, from infants to the elderly. Therapists work in many different settings including intensive care units, emergency departments, diagnostic laboratories, clinics and the home. Ohio State’s all-inclusive curriculum has led to our graduates having excellent outcomes.
