Structural Steel Welder

Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter with a strong background in structural steel fabrication. This role involves working directly from blueprints to fit and weld assemblies accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Fit, align, and weld fabricated components to meet specifications and tolerances.
• Safely operate standard fabrication and welding equipment (MIG, stick, plasma, torch, etc.).
• Measure, inspect, and verify final assemblies for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a welder/fitter in a structural steel environment.
• Ability to read and work directly from blueprints.
• Experience with layout, fitting, and welding structural components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to quality workmanship.
