Job Title: Site Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Site Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure project schedules meet contractual obligations, manage budgets, and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. This role requires frequent travel to project sites and the ability to manage multiple aspects of construction projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and adhere to a project schedule that meets contractual requirements.
- Oversee project budgets, including invoicing, change orders, purchase orders, subcontracts, and other financial matters.
- Direct and monitor construction, field engineering, and site material management efforts.
- Coordinate and run regular project status meetings internally and with the customer.
- Negotiate scope and schedule of contracts and change orders with owners and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the project team.
- Foster mutual respect and confidence with clients to promote common interests.
- Conduct meetings with customers as needed, including recording meeting minutes.
- Ensure customer deliverables such as submittals, training, and schedule updates are provided as required.
- Travel regularly to project sites to evaluate progress and maintain effective communication.
- Oversee site safety and compliance, resolving any identified issues promptly.
- Communicate the importance of safety and act as an ambassador for safety standards.
- Identify critical issues and assist in developing improvement procedures.
- Act as the primary contact for consultants, suppliers, and other contractors involved in the project.
- Manage subcontractor work, schedules, and performance of contractual obligations.
- Provide weekly project status reports on budget, schedule, quality, and safety to management.
- Resolve field discrepancies, answer subcontractor questions, and escalate issues as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and monitor feedback to ensure timely solutions.
- Track inventory of materials, tools, and consumables, and coordinate equipment deliveries.
- Notify suppliers or installers of deficiencies needed to complete the scope of work.
Essential Skills
- Project management expertise, particularly in conveyor installations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mechanical systems.
- Construction management skills.
- OSHA 30 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the material handling installation industry is highly preferred.
- Experience as a construction project manager is also considered.
Work Environment
The role involves working onsite at various locations, including Amazon sites. Hours will vary depending on the installation schedule and meetings with contractors. There is an overtime cap of 15 hours unless written approval is received for additional time. Travel days are compensated up to 8 hours of straight time. Mileage for personal vehicle use is reimbursed. Lodging, miles, rentals, and airfare expenses are covered, along with a per diem for meals based on site location GSA rates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.00/hr.
