Job Description An employer seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong focus on lathe operations to join their in‑house machine shop. This is a low‑volume, rapid prototyping environment, not a production floor, where the machinist will be expected to set up tooling, run jobs, and perform some CAM programming. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, experienced machinist who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, innovative environment and can operate with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines (Haas equipment)
Write basic CAM programs as needed to support machining operations
Troubleshoot machining issues and apply sequencing strategies for operations
Collaborate with the CAM programmer and engineering team on part production
Maintain quality and safety standards throughout all machining work
This role is onsite 5 days a week and relocation can be provided for out of state.

Skills and Requirements 5-10 years of CNC machining experience (lathe focus strongly preferred)
Hands‑on experience with Haas CNC equipment (non‑negotiable advantage; Working knowledge of CAM programming (does not need to be a dedicated programmer)
Experience in a low-volume, prototyping environment preferred over high-volume production
Ability to operate both CNC and manual machines; Project portfolio with photos of self‑machined parts
Trade school or vocational training background
Experience in aerospace, robotics, or advanced manufacturing industries
Familiarity with CNC mill in addition to lathe
