Position Overview
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale customers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on achieving sustainable sales and margin growth by managing existing accounts while identifying new opportunities across current and emerging channels.
Using a consultative sales approach, the Sales Account Manager leverages Salesforce CRM, market intelligence, historical sales data, and business insights to understand customer needs and deliver customized solutions that drive mutual success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing wholesale accounts.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned territories.
- Conduct proactive outbound sales calls and customer outreach activities.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage customer interactions, opportunities, and account plans.
- Analyze market trends, customer data, and sales performance to uncover growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support and execution.
- Promote the hobby of model railroading and support customers in growing their business.

Work Requirements
- Must be able to attend in person at the Walthers Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and as needed for meetings, collaboration, training, and business activities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager – Wholesale Channel.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
