Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance
- Use behavioral therapy techniques to address behavioral challenges in the classroom
- Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance student learning
- Mentor and guide students in their personal and academic development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Experience with tutoring or providing additional support to students is a plus
- Familiarity with preschool education principles and practices is desirable
- Knowledge of library services and resources is beneficial
