Our client is a well-established educational organization seeking a Part-Time Payroll/HR Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll for 250+ employees, have hands-on experience with ADP, and will have HR experience. This individual should be highly detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills to effectively support payroll and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees accurately and on time
  • Maintain payroll records through data entry, auditing, and updates to employee information
  • Support HR administration by maintaining employee files and documentation
  • Assist with payroll and benefits reconciliations to general ledger accounts
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities
  • Provide responsive customer service to faculty, staff, students, and families
  • Support payroll reporting and data analysis using Excel
  • Assist with benefits administration and payroll-related inquiries
  • Partner across Accounting and HR on operational initiatives and projects
  • Complete additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience required
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounting fundamentals
  • Experience with ADP required;
  • Advanced attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience aligned with a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
