Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our Dive Bar team. Fryer, Grill and food prep experience required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to our menu planning and overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage practices.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines, including safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Utilize proper knife skills for meal preparation while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other kitchen roles within the food industry.
  • Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Experience in fine dining or catering environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to create appealing dishes.
  • Excellent food handling skills with a focus on food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
