General Purpose
Performs day-to-day tasks pertaining to the Landscape/ SWPPP department. Must understand and have experience in all phases of excavation. Candidate must be honest, ambitious, hard working, take pride in his/her work, have great attention to detail, and above all, have personal and professional integrity. This individual needs to ensure things are done accurately and efficiently, as well as confirming all policies have been followed. Must be able to pass a drug test, have a clean driving record, and we do E-Verify.
Job Duties
Ø Must have a valid Class A CDL Endorsement so the equipment can be mobilized to the job.
Ø Needs to understand and operate various types of landscape equipment (mini excavator,
skid-steer, tractor mowers, weed eaters, & blowers)
Ø Install, repair, clean out, and tear down concrete washouts
Ø Perform cutbacks
Ø Grading of lots
Ø Install erosion control & LOD fencing
Ø Clean storm drain boxes
Ø Needs to understand and operate various types of excavation equipment
Ø Willingness to work as a laborer when not on the equipment or driving.
Ø Assist with snow removal during the winter months
Ø Back-up on Street Sweeper &/or Dump Truck
Other Job Duties
Ø Fills out and turns in completed Work Orders daily
Ø Keeps accurate time records.
Ø Assists in other duties as requested by the SWPPP Superintendent & Manager of Operations
Work Environment
Work in an outdoor environment subject to changing & seasonal weather extremes. Employee must be able to perform job duties typical of an outdoor setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks will require a variety of physical activities, generally involving muscular strength (must be able to lift 50lbs), such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing essential to performing required job functions. Eye, hand, and finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking & creative.
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
