Interior Painter – REVIVE RESTORATION OF MADISON INC.

Location: Madison, WI

Responsibilities

Perform painting functions for residential and commercial clients, specializing in remodeling and re‑construction of existing buildings. The majority of work involves interior walls, but also includes exterior painting within a 40‑mile radius of Madison. Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns, specifically HPLV Airless Sprayers, to apply various paint coatings to industrial and commercial facilities. Prepare surfaces accurately, including cleaning, sanding, and priming. Apply expert knowledge of different painting techniques and materials. Ensure smooth, even finishes with keen attention to detail. Follow safety procedures and use protective gear properly. Read and interpret blueprints or specifications for accurate project execution. Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Adapt to working on ladders, scaffolding, or in tight spaces, requiring physical stamina and dexterity. Communicate effectively with clients and other contractors. Solve problems and adapt to unexpected challenges on the job.

Additional duties include:

  • Fit and fasten wallboard or drywall into position on wood or metal frameworks, using glue, nails, or screws.
  • Measure and cut openings in panels or tiles for electrical outlets, windows, vents, plumbing, or other fixtures, using keyhole saws or other cutting tools.
  • Assemble or install metal framing or decorative trim for windows, doorways, or vents.
  • Inspect furrings, mechanical mountings, or masonry surfaces for plumbness and level, using spirit or water levels.
  • Coordinate work with drywall finishers who cover the seams between drywall panels.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of painting experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial painting experience.
  • Proficiency in painting techniques, including airless spraying, brush and rolling, and cutting in without tape.
  • Experience in job site prep work and clean up.
  • Experience with multi‑family buildings.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Problem‑solving abilities.
