The Media Administrator, TV Department plays a critical role in the daily operations of Leading The Way's television production department, ensuring editors have seamless access to the media assets they need, archival systems are maintained with precision, and the shared production environment remains stable and organized. LTW produces and broadcasts a national television program every week, reaching audiences across six continents in 28 languages. Sustaining that level of output requires someone with a deep commitment to process, an exceptional eye for detail, and a genuine appreciation for the discipline of media management. This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise to work that matters, supporting a broadcast operation that rivals any major network in service of a global ministry mission.
Key responsibilities of the Media Administrator, TV Department include but are not limited to:
Work primarily within Avid Interplay, CatDV, and the server environment as the central platforms for daily media management
Preserve, catalog, and archive hundreds of terabytes of footage to LTO tapes (LTO8, Spectra robot); monitor and maintain space across all TV-related drives to ensure system stability and accommodate ongoing ingest needs
Ingest, allocate, restore, and deliver media assets from recordings, trips, and archived sources to editors in a timely manner, with prioritization based on production need
Sync and pass sequences and projects to the appropriate team members in support of active production workflows
Maintain a searchable index, logical folder structure, strict naming conventions, and metadata procedures for all content across LTO tapes, external hard drives, cloud storage, and the off-site Iron Mountain library
Troubleshoot content retrieval, archival, and system performance issues; serve as the keeper of the shared media environment so 10-12 editors can work without delay or disruption
Catalog, sequence, and administer media through CatDV; oversee external hard drive usage and manage project archives within Basecamp
Track, assess, and oversee all active projects; maintain up-to-date editor project lists and deliver weekly reports on every piece in motion
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot TV workflows in Telestream Vantage; actively develop new ways to automate current processes and research and evaluate emerging and value-added storage solutions including cloud storage and LTO tape
Consult with leadership on asset management, storage budgeting, and capacity decisions; administer and update media file delivery across all online ministry portals including YouTube, website, and phone app
Steward an expanding archival operation, including the active procurement and management of LTO tapes to secure assets, free active storage, and sustain the weekly production and national broadcast of LTW's television program
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Demonstrated track record archiving large volumes of media to LTO tape (LTO8 preferred) within complex server and shared storage environments, including supporting a shared workspace with multiple simultaneous users; this role directly serves 10-12 editors working concurrently in a shared system
Proven aptitude to develop and enforce naming conventions, metadata standards, and folder structures across a team and throughout the full production workflow
Genuine enjoyment of and demonstrated capacity to thrive in a role built around repetitive, process-driven, detail-intensive tasks; this is the single most important personality requirement for success in this role
Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate seamlessly across editors, production managers, and leadership; hands-on proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools (Basecamp or similar)
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment driven by weekly broadcast production deadlines
