THE ROLE: Assistant Designer
This role is ideal for someone early in their fashion career who’s eager to learn, support senior designers, and contribute to the full design process—from concept through production. The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of women’s sportswear from concept to production
Support in building design boards, sketching flats, and updating tech packs
Help organize and maintain design sheets and seasonal line plans
Research trends, colors, and materials relevant to the active and sportswear market
Source fabrics, trims, and prints from vendors with guidance from the senior design team
Assist in sample development by preparing materials and tracking sample progress
Set up new styles with updated fabrics and prints for sampling (in our house sample room)
Creating cad decks for sales with notes from buyers.
Input sample data into asset manager
Stay organized with fabric swatches, trims, and internal files
