Job Title: Medical Assembler

Job Description

Join a clean, modern medical manufacturing facility assembling small, precision components using microscopes, hand tools, and specialized equipment. Work across multiple areas—including coiling, molding, CEA assembly, laser welding, and implantable housings—while following detailed written instructions and maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coil Winding — Operate coil‑winding machines and inspect fine wires (microscope use 30–50%).
  • Molding — Inspect, deburr, and finish molded parts using small hand tools.
  • CEA Assembly — Assemble micro‑components using microscopes 60% of shift.
  • Laser Welding — Weld and inspect tiny components under a microscope.
  • Implantable Housings — Operate presses/stamping machines and inspect small metal parts.
  • Follow written work instructions, maintain cleanroom standards, and perform repetitive fine‑motor tasks with accuracy.
  • Alternate between sitting and standing depending on the department.

Essential Skills

  • 4–6+ months small‑parts assembly or medical manufacturing experience.
  • Microscope experience required.
  • Strong hand dexterity; ability to work with pen‑tip‑sized parts.
  • Comfort using tweezers, pliers, files, knives, and similar tools.
  • Ability to sit or stand up to 8 hours.
  • Willingness to cross‑train across multiple departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device assembly, laser welding, or coil winding is a plus.
  • Cleanroom experience or ability to follow gowning protocols.
  • Crafting, sewing, or other fine‑dexterity hobbies translate well.
  • Strong reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Work Environment

A clean, well‑organized facility with strong focus on employee comfort and wellness. Amenities include a wellness room, workout space, on‑site market, food trucks, walking trails, and periodic free ice cream events. Cleanroom gowning required in certain areas; non‑cleanroom areas are louder with machine activity. Tasks vary between sitting and standing, with frequent microscope and small‑tool use.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.53/hr.
