The office is currently seeking a Receptionist to join their team. This role is fundamental in providing excellent customer service as the primary point of contact within the office. The Receptionist’s responsibilities include warmly greeting visitors with a positive and helpful attitude, directing incoming calls and visitors efficiently, and handling a variety of administrative tasks that support the smooth operation of the office. This position requires maintaining workplace security by managing visitor badges and logs, answering and routing phone calls in a professional manner, taking and delivering messages, and assisting visitors with navigation around the office. Serving both the public and internal colleagues, the Receptionist must consistently demonstrate superior customer relations skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of the criminal justice system, strong office equipment expertise, and proficiency in typing, word processing, and using spreadsheet programs. The role also demands capabilities such as preparing and drafting legal documents, excellent filing and organizational skills, and competency in operating the Case Management System (CMS), including document merging functions. A good command of math, grammar, and proofreading is necessary to ensure accuracy and professionalism in all communications and documentation. The ability to effectively communicate, follow directions, and adhere to policies is equally important. Preference is given to bilingual Spanish speakers due to the community’s diverse needs.
This position offers a salary range from $19.00 to $21.15 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, along with two years of related work experience. Candidates with three or more years of work experience or education in a related field are preferred. The work environment is office-based with occasional physical effort and required travel.
