Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Implementation: Collaborate with the physical therapist to execute tailored treatment plans that meet patients' rehabilitation goals.
  • Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Guide patients through prescribed exercises, ensuring they understand proper techniques and monitor their progress for safety and effectiveness.
  • Modalities and Physical Agents: Administer various treatment modalities, closely observing patient responses to optimize therapeutic results.
  • Patient and Family Education: Empower patients and their families with knowledge on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Keep detailed records of patients' responses to treatments, reporting insights to the supervising physical therapist for continuous improvement of care plans.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice
