Medical Assistant Instructor Roles And Responsibilities

Teach medical assisting courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisorPrepare and grade written and practical examinationsAttend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the CollegeDress professionally in accordance with faculty dress codePerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

REQUIRED In-field experience: 2-3 years

Skills And Qualifications

Must have a minimum of two years of work experience in the medical assisting field (with diploma, degree, or certificate).Must have a minimum of three years of work experience in the medical assisting field (WITHOUT diploma, degree, or certificate).Successful completion of High School, its equivalent, or a state-authorized examination certificate is required.Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or diploma training program is preferred but not required.Must be willing to take the CCMA exam if you are not certifiedAbility to work effectively with diverse populationsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingKnowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques

License/Certification
