Landscape Project Manager

Compensation: $80,000–$120,000+ depending on experience plus annual
performance bonus.
Position Overview
Scapes, Inc. is seeking an experienced Landscape Project Manager or construction project manager to oversee the execution of high-end residential and commercial landscape construction projects. Our projects range from complex landscape installations to complete outdoor living environments incorporating pools, structures, masonry, concrete, drainage, irrigation, lighting, audio systems, and specialty subcontractors.
The Project Manager works closely with the Landscape Designer throughout the design and preconstruction process to ensure projects are properly estimated, buildable, and prepared for successful execution.
Once a project is sold, the Project Manager becomes the primary leader responsible for scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, quality control, budget management, change orders, client communication, and project completion.
This position is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and at the quality level expected from one of Oklahoma's premier landscape construction companies.
Primary Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Estimating Support
- Review plans and specifications for constructability
- Assist the designer with project budgeting and estimating
- Verify quantities, material selections, and subcontractor scopes
- Identify potential construction challenges before contract execution
- Participate in project handoff meetings from design to production
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop project schedules and sequencing plans
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Schedule internal production crews
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Maintain project schedules and communicate updates to clients and staff
Subcontractor Management
- Schedule subcontractors throughout project duration
- Verify completed work before approval for payment
- Maintain strong relationships with key trade partners

Material Procurement
- Order and track project materials
- Verify lead times and delivery schedules
- Manage vendor communication
- Ensure materials arrive correctly and on schedule
Production Management
- Direct and support field installation crews
- Conduct regular site visits
- Coordinate daily and weekly production activities
- Ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications
- Assist crews with field layout and problem solving
- Coordinate with designers regarding design clarifications and revisions
Change Order Management
- Identify changes in scope
- Prepare and present change orders
- Obtain approvals before proceeding with additional work
- Track project budget impacts
- Maintain accurate project documentation
Client Communication
- Serve as primary construction contact throughout the project
- Conduct jobsite meetings
- Provide regular project updates
- Manage client expectations
- Resolve construction-related concerns professionally
Financial Management
- Monitor project budgets and profitability
- Review vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Track labor and production costs
- Assist with billing milestones
- Protect project margins through proactive management
Project Closeout
- Conduct quality control inspections
- Complete final punch lists
- Coordinate warranty corrections when necessary
- Ensure all contract obligations are fulfilled
- Facilitate successful project handoff to the Garden Services Account Manager for ongoing maintenance opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of project management experience
- Strong construction management background
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Landscape construction experience
- Residential construction experience
- Outdoor living construction experience
- Irrigation and drainage experience
- Experience with projects exceeding $100,000
- Construction Management or related degree
