Job Overview
Lab technologist to perform routine testing in Cytology, Coagulation, Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, and Urinalysis. Perform accessioning and communicate with hospital clinicians and staff. Assist in training DVM students and new employees.
Responsibilities
Perform routine testing across multiple laboratory modalities including Cytology, Coagulation, Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, and Urinalysis.
Accession samples and maintain effective communication with hospital clinicians and staff.
Assist in training DVM students and new employees.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or applicable science field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Experience with laboratory testing, analysis, and reporting in a Laboratory Information System.
- Experience in a medical laboratory setting.
- Testing experience may include cytology, blood bank, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, urinalysis, processing and sending out samples.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand or sit for prolonged periods.
