Job Title: Payroll & HR Coordinator
Location: St. Louis Park, MN (this is a schedule requiring immediate and consistent time on-site in MN, no out of state applicants are eligible for consideration)
Pay Rate: $65-$75k annually
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Overview:
We are seeking a Payroll & HR Coordinator to support a collaborative accounting, payroll, and HR team in a fast-paced environment. This role is primarily focused on payroll administration and employee data management while also assisting with onboarding, compliance, and HR-related functions. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, understands how payroll impacts the general ledger, and is comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Support weekly payroll processing by maintaining employee payroll records, including pay rate changes, W-4 updates, direct deposit information, benefit elections, and 401(k) changes
- Maintain employee data within the HRIS/payroll system, ensuring accuracy of payroll, compliance, and audit-related information
- Process payroll-related documentation including union updates, employee changes, unemployment forms, and other payroll-impacting records
- Maintain payroll audit spreadsheets and assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding activities within payroll and HR systems
- Support employee benefits administration, compliance reporting, and HR record maintenance
- Assist with workers' compensation administration, payroll-related vendor invoice processing, and other administrative functions
- Prepare compliance documentation and support audits, reporting, and additional HR/payroll projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll, HR, accounting, or finance experience
- Understanding of payroll processes and how payroll impacts the general ledger
- Experience maintaining employee records and processing payroll-related changes with accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
- Comfortable supporting both payroll and HR functions in a collaborative environment
- ERP or payroll system experience required; experience with Vista or similar systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
