Position Description:
Seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis in Provo, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across various commercial properties. You will travel locally to perform repairs and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and groundskeeping. Your goal is to provide high-quality service while maintaining safety standards and fostering positive relationships with clients. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals looking to expand their skills within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial buildings, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, replacing fixtures, and maintaining sensors.
- Perform routine painting, drywall repair, and touch-ups to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Manage minor electrical repairs like replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures, in compliance with state laws.
- Utilize mobile devices and business systems to access work orders, document services, and submit reports and images.
- Maintain timely communication with clients and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Carry out safety training, stay compliant with OSHA standards, and adhere to company safety policies.
- Provide accurate estimates for larger projects and services as needed.
- Travel locally between customer sites to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Top Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or related technical certification
- 2-5 years of general maintenance experience including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and applicable certifications/licenses
