What we do:

The Financial Planning Analysis (FP A) team plays a critical role in supporting the company’s financial and strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and operational planning. As an integral member of the corporate FP A team, the Financial Planning Analysis (FP A) Analyst will play a key role in supporting The Trade Desk’s headcount and expense planning functions. We are looking for a team player who will provide exceptional financial support and promote financial discipline across parts of the organization. In this role, you will create financial reports to review with cross-functional leaders to help manage their budgets and refine forecasting. You will help drive continued development of financial processes to facilitate improvements in our global cost forecasting accuracy, accountability, and transparency.

What you'll do:

Work with FP A team to drive financial accountability by improving the budgeting and forecasting process; refine budget/forecast reporting and templates that will help leaders manage their respective divisions for continued profitable growth

Learn and expand the use of our new budgeting and reporting systems; suggest process improvements as the tool user base expands

Assist with department level reporting to support management decisions to ensure execution of company goals and drive accountability

Improve capital forecasting and reporting/tracking

Perform value added ad-hoc analyses that help drive decision making

Collaborate with the Accounting team to assist in various close procedures including variance fluctuation analysis, accruals, and other deep-dive analyses

Continuously take on additional responsibility to improve processes and procedures

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

2+ years of experience in FP A, corporate finance, or accounting

Strong Excel and financial modeling skills

Solid understanding of financial statements (including US GAAP) and forecasting concepts

Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment

Highly organized and proactive with a willingness to learn

Strong sense of ownership and proactivity

Experience with Workday, Oracle EPM, or other financial systems

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
