Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated Forklift Operator to join our Motorvehicle Logistics Yard team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment safely, and supporting warehouse distribution processes. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations while maintaining safety standards and warehouse organization.

The forklift driver handles the physical movement, loading, and unloading of cargo. They ensure cross-border and local freight is safely moved between trucks, containers, and staging zones, while verifying shipment quantities and maintaining strict compliance with safety and warehouse management regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Freight Handling: Safely load, unload, stack, and move cargo pallets from inbound and outbound trucks or shipping containers.
• Cargo Security & Staging: Wrap, band, and stage shipments accurately, ensuring heavier freight is correctly distributed for transport.
• Documentation: Verify cargo against shipping manifests, house airway bills, and bills of lading. Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform OSHA-mandated pre-shift forklift inspections, conduct basic maintenance (e.g., battery charging, fluid checks), and report malfunctions.
• System Integration: Utilize, scan, and link photos into Freight Management Systems to track inbound and outbound receipts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certifications: Valid, compliant forklift operator certification (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks).
• Experience: 1+ years of experience operating heavy warehouse machinery in a fast-paced logistics or supply chain environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and routinely lift, push, or pull freight weighing up to 50–70 lbs.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reading alpha-numeric labels and tracking localized freight.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
