Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Location: Independence, MO

We’re looking for a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator who can bring people together, inspire service, and help ensure that every patient’s final chapter is filled with care, dignity, and connection.

What You’ll Do

Recruit, train, and support hospice volunteers who bring comfort to our patients and families

Match volunteers to patient needs and provide ongoing supervision and encouragement

Maintain volunteer files, records, and reports

Track monthly volunteer activity and ensure documentation accuracy

Conduct evaluations, offer feedback, and foster ongoing engagement

Support team meetings, events, and community involvement initiatives

What You Bring

Strong communication and leadership skills

Hospice or healthcare experience preferred

Detail-oriented, dependable, and organized

Ability to multitask and prioritize with compassion

A genuine calling to serve others
