Join the Leadership Team at Shoe Carnival! We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily operations and lead our enthusiastic team. In this rewarding full-time position, you will be a vital key holder, set a positive example, and contribute to creating a fun, customer-centric atmosphere.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Opening and closing the store as a key holder.
- Assisting the General Manager in achieving sales targets.
- Leading exceptional customer service efforts and professionally resolving any issues.
- Training and mentoring associates on company processes and standards.
- Delegating daily tasks and managing break schedules.
- Assisting with visual merchandising and ensuring an inviting store presentation.
- Handling register overrides, performing safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation.
- Promoting adherence to loss prevention procedures.
What We Are Looking For:
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- A commitment to outstanding customer service along with a positive attitude.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail or customer service.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus!
- Willingness to complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age due to key holder responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and staying on your feet for extended periods.
