Cashier / Food Service Worker

Overview

Location: Seattle University Admin, Seattle, WA. Schedule: Part time; days and hours may vary. We are hiring immediately for part time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions. Address: 901 12th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. Note: online applications accepted only. Fixed Pay Rate: $21.30 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Operates Point of Sale system and performs cashier duties with cash accuracy and proper receipts.
• Assists the Chef and helps prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; also assists with catering orders.
• Sets up serving line, serves hot and cold items to customers, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.
• Performs general cleaning duties and removes trash to designated areas.
• Provides service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products; rotates refrigerator stock using FIFO.
• Monitors temperatures of served items and notifies cooks if temperatures fall outside acceptable ranges.
• Maintains daily records such as floor stock, including replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier and food service experience is preferred.
