Dedicated Dental Assistant Needed for Private Family Practice in Melrose

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at the office of Robert DiFranco, DMD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Robert DiFranco, DMD is a small, private family practice located in Melrose, MA. We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive environment that upholds the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. We are looking for a team member who values a close-knit, professional atmosphere.

Pay: $24 - $30 per hour

Requirements

  • License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification, Infection Control License

Experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental sterilization procedures.

Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Excellent communication skills and a focus on patient confidentiality.

Job Description

Chairside Assisting: Assist dentists during various treatments and procedures to ensure smooth delivery of care.

Sterilization & Prep: Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.

Imaging: Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology, including 3D scanners, while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols.

Records Management: Manage electronic medical records (EMR) using Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and medical history.

Infection Control: Maintain strict standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination.

Patient Coordination: Support administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently.

Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Preferences

  • License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support

Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training.

Radiology certification.

CPR Certification.

Prior experience with Eaglesoft software.
