Summary: A Quality Inspector is responsible for reinforcing product quality on the shop floor both internally and for subcontractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
- Formally report results and identity non-conformances to responsible parties.
- Assist in weld and paint inspection and non-destructive examination (NDE).
- Ensure third party manufacturers meet company expectations.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 Year Sheet Metal Fabrication/Machining experience
- 1 Year Quality Inspection experience
- 1 Year Welding Processes and Inspection experience.
Preferred Skills/Key Competencies:
- Product Quality Inspection experience required within the Manufacturing sector where processes include welding, machining, fabrication, sheet metal forming, NDE, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Experience in ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of weld processes and weld quality, as well as blueprint reading.
- Independent thinking
- Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
Physical Demands: This job requires team member to be in good general health with good balance, agility, and vision abilities. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Usual and customary methods of performing this job’s functions require the following physical demands: lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, carrying, pushing, reaching and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stopping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; and significant manual dexterity.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
