Job Description:

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum age of 18 years is required
  • Preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with a minimum of two years of warehouse experience
  • Proficiency in fundamental reading, writing, and arithmetic is important
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Skilled at articulating thoughts clearly using written and verbal means
  • Capacity to handle devices with adept manual skills
  • Capacity to raise objects of up to 50 lbs, with repeated lifting and conveying of loads weighing up to 35 lbs
  • A valid driver's license could be mandatory depending on the location, and applicants should anticipate a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) assessment

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of walking and remaining upright
  • Repeated performance of lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling motions

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location depending on client requirements and business needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspect and tag goods upon arrival; note and inform about any variations in delivery compared to the billing statements
  • Implement the FIFO strategy for perishables to ensure older stock is utilized first before newer items
  • Engage in the use of manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts with appropriate training as requested
  • Assemble and manage inventory to fulfill requirements for product, supply, and equipment orders
  • Handle the movement, discharge, and transfer of products within the warehouse facility or to client locations with the assistance of carts or motorized vehicles
  • Undertake scheduled inventory counts as required
  • Complete all documentation requirements meticulously, encompassing tasks like updating inventory logs, conducting temperature checks, maintaining spoilage records, and inspecting equipment, whether on paper or through digital means
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse spaces, which encompass restrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and raised platforms
  • Abide by safety policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) instructions, and emergency response procedures
  • Utilize relevant Personal Safety Gear (PSG) when necessary
  • Ensure the security of both customer and organizational possessions
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
